From his Bio on Forbes.com:
After serving in Iraq, I discovered a career in bourbon, where I followed distillers and broke news in a category blossoming before my very eyes. This passion led to my bestselling books ‘Whiskey Women, Bourbon Curious‘ and ‘Bourbon: The Rise, Fall & Rebirth of An American Whiskey.’ Like any business, I diversified my writing portfolio to wine and other spirits, penning the books ‘Rum Curious‘ and ‘Mead: The Librations, Legends & Lore of the World’s Oldest Drink.’ But my core has always been bourbon, which is why I am the curator for the Bourbon & Beyond Festival and am the editor-in-chief of Bourbon+ Magazine. I am also a Captain at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and lead a lot of private tastings around the world. But wait, there’s more: As an avid wearer of ascots, I am hopeful in their return in neckwear apparel.
